a crappy day

I feel so incredibly sick right now. It sucks so bad. I'm going to try lying down and watching a movie, or maybe starting Son of a Witch. *shrug*

Today will be an incredibly short post. I'll leave you with a (surprise!) Chad Isley picture of a beautiful ED named Noire. I've shared her before. Last night I had a dream that she was given to me, and she and I traveled the US. I got a lot of sight seeing pictures, all with Noire kindly being my model. <3 It was an incredibly lovely dream. She wore an outfit much like this one:
Except it wasn't crocheted in my dream, and she didn't wear a hat. Same color and style though. Sigh.

blank

Spent a couple hours playing on Restaurant City... stupid addicting games. I also finished Wicked. Finally. I'm looking forward to reading the second book, as I hear that one is good as well. I liked Wicked. Was a very interesting book.

I think I had originally wanted to work on shoes for Linny, but I figured, since I threaded that bobbin anyway, I might as well make Gareth's jammies. The bottoms came out okay, they look better once they're on. The top... well, the top sucks. The only black fabric I had that I liked was terrible to work with, and just doesn't look right. I'll have to make him a new top when I can find some better fabric. Ugh. But here's pics:

The ugly top

The okay bottoms

The whole shebang

I do like the bottoms. They're exactly as I pictured them. The top, not so much. But it'll do for now. Short post today it looks like. I think I'll wander off and watch 17 again.

Here I am...

Here I am... a day late. Ha. I suck. I woke yesterday after twelve hours of sleep... and was still tired. I got a text from a friend asking if I'd like to go see Harry Potter 6 with her in the morning. I've already seen it, and so has she, but we were both almost asleep during it, and so we wanted the chance to see it awake. lol. She was babysitting her younger siblings that morning, so they came along... only, while I made it on time, paid for my ticket, and began to watch part of the movie, they were incredibly late, due to sibling issues. So late that the ticket people wouldn't sell them a ticket to the movie that had started already. So I went out to meet them and we all went to see G-Force instead. I um... honestly had no intention of ever seeing that movie, despite the fact that Nicholas Cage was a voice, and I really like him. But, all in all, it was interesting enough to hold attention. Of course... Nick Cage didn't sound like himself, so that was disappointing. I like his voice. Oh well.

After the movie, we went back to my friend's parents' house and had lunch. Then her mom came back and took us all to see Harry Potter 6 - on time. Haha. So yay. Afterwards we went to a teachers store, which was fun. I saw a webkins that was the same breed as Britney. The color was a little off, but still, reminded me of her. It made me cry, and yet, also made me wish I had the money to buy it. Sigh. We went back to her parents' house, had dinner, and watched tv for a while. At around 1am, I was beat, and had to leave. My friend did too. Went to sleep and slept for almost 14 hours this time. So I've only been up a couple hours here. Hopefully, I won't be tired again for a long time.

I strung up that bobbin a couple days ago. Didn't take as long as it did in the past, (when I did it by hand that is) shoving the bobbin on the end of my scissors to keep it from moving seemed to work effectively... until I needed to cut the thread and went crazy looking for the scissors... eventually I remembered they were in my hand...

I'm at the moment hungry. So I shall leave you with three pictures.... one, my sketch of State Property, which I sorta failed at, because my State Property doesn't look nearly as terrified - or terrified at all - as the original.

And the other two from State Property's official gallery:

The first is my favorite in the gallery, and the second is my... well, second favorite. I love this doll. And I do believe he belongs to Annika so it was wonderful to see him as a part of this lovely lady's gallery. I sort of wish he had posed slightly differently though. Maybe his right hand curved around her and resting on her upper right arm, and his left hand restng on her tummy. Oh well.

Bleh....

Oh boy... I have gone without sleep for waaaaay too long today. I went to a friend's house last night, and while she was able to fall asleep eventually, I was not. So I'm dead tired... and it's 4 in the afternoon. Meh, oh well. The pic to the left here is yet another sketch of the beautiful Iðunn. I'm not so sure about this one. I mean, I think it's cute, but I don't think the face looks like her. Oh well. I still like it. Iðunn is definitely a lovely doll.

This post will most definitely be a short one, as I am beginning to nod off as I type right here, and that just wouldn't be comfortable to sleep on a keyboard. I just want to share a Chad Isley pic of a gorgeous new Marina doll. It's called "State Property" and it's divine. I love the expression in the eyes - she looks terrified... or incredibly sad. Be careful love, you may lose your baby if you don't calm down. I love her baby belly. Truly. I had imagined one day an ED may show up like this, but didn't realize that day was so soon. I've even imagined making my "someday" ED a detachable baby bump to wear under her clothes. The Vessel has been a top favorite since the day she was shown to public. I do believe this beauty will be joining her on my list of top favorites. I absolutely adore her tummy. And I love the "default" maternal pose she's in. So... so beautiful.

And that's all she wrote. For now atleast.

One week down...

Lookit! I made it an entire week through blog posts. Wow. I'm so proud of myself. Still not feeling well, trying to drink juice to feel better. My brother sells this stuff you stick in liquid for "immunity" and it's supposed to help fight off sickness. But dang it, it tastes like kool aid. And oh do I hate kool aid. Hate's not even a strong enough word. Despise? Loathe? Something like that. I hate anything that tastes like it too. Like, jello is jiggly kool aid, and so I do not eat jello. There is an exception to the no jello rule though - if the jello is mixed with a whipped cream to where it does not taste so much like kool aid... I have no problem with it. I hate most flavored waters because of the kool aid issue as well. As far as I know, there's only one exception to the flavored water rule - vitamin water - but I can't drink all flavors. Flavors like kiwi anything and strawberry taste too familiar and don't work for me. Blech.

Where was I? Oh right, so I'm taking vitamin C pills instead. GO AWAY SICKNESS! All I want to do is lay in bed and finish reading Wicked. Very interesting story so far. Probably not one I would have ever pulled off the library shelf on my own, but it comes well recommended by a good friend. So I've checked out the whole series. Which... ack... reminds me, all fifteen or so books I checked out are due back in about two weeks... and I've only read... four? Dang. I'll hafta get a move on, and even then, I read slow, so I won't finish them all. I'll have to check them out another day. Or try extending the due dates. I dunno, something like that. I'm not sure if I can extend the date though, because they were all automatically extended in the first place. My library is moving, and so all books that fell due during the move got extended. And I have atleast three other books I want to check out once they're all situated again. Oy.

I want to volunteer as an intern at the Realife Plus forum I go to, but it requires me to print and fill out an application. And that requires me to have a printer. Bugger. My printer has long since broken, and the only other printer here is my brother's, which is out of ink. I don't have the money to buy more ink, and won't pester him to buy it if he doesn't need it right now. So now what? I wonder if one of my friends have a printer I might be able to use... but... bah... I don't want to bother them with it... and my library is in between a move so I can't use them... What the heck. Ugh.

So I made a leotard for Linny. It turned out... acceptable. A little off, and I tried fixing it by hand sewing. It'll do. At the moment I like it better than the Barbie top, but that just be because I'm tired of the Barbie top. *shrug* Welp, been procrastinating enough, picture time!

First here's Linny in her white wig and leotard:

Next, Linny in the green, classical/pancake tutu. You can't see the black thread so much in these pics:

And here's Linny in the second, tulle skirt. It's longer, and doesn't pancake out. I tried to cover the ugly black thread here with a band of pink:

And Linny in the simple, plain blue skirt:

And the last skirt, a simple one like the blue one, only this one is in all three colors:

OOoooo oooo, and this is Linny's thread wig:

Teehee. And finally, Linny in her thread wig, with my favorite of the skirts on, and sitting in a big ugly chair I made for Gareth:

Wow, those are quite a few pictures... mayhaps I should have just taken pics right after one thing was done, instead of waiting until the batch was. Hmm... meh. Whatever.

Next up in my tasks, I think I'll try and make a pair of shoes for Linny. It will be interesting. Then I'll move on to the jammies for Gareth.

But right now.... I'll be re-threading the ugly black bobbin with ugly brown thread... by hand. I don't want to try and pull the other bobbin off, I'm afraid it won't go back on. And I decided to go with the ugly brown because at the moment I only have brown, yellow, white, and orange. And since Gareth's jammies are dark, I think the brown will work. No see-through tulle for Gareth.
