Meant to post my Feb Faves last week, but time got away from me! No matter, I'll post it now, and add the update afterwards. :)
Behold, my February Favorites! I'll start with the two teas, Constant Comment, and Cranberry Hibiscus.
Constant Comment: I tried this tea out in Detroit at my Guy's dad's house. He offered it to me when he found out I prefer tea to coffee. I was uncertain because the description includes orange rind - for some reason, orange tea just never sounded appealing to me. But I tried it anyway, because it was obvious his dad wanted me to, and wooooooo. It was lovely! When I got home, I immediately went to Walmart to pick some up for myself and I tried it again and again, with different combinations of sugar, honey, milk, and creamer. By far, my fave is a tiny bit of sugar, and some french vanilla creamer. It's sooo tasty like that. Like a lovely desert drink.
Cranberry Hibiscus: I don't know if I'm alone in this, but whenever I buy tea, I can't buy just one kind. I always feel I need to grab another to try or have as well. I grabbed Cranberry Hibiscus when I went to get Constant Comment. I always like having a collection of black teas and caffeine free teas to choose from. This tea is fabulous. It's fruity and tart and if I use the correct ratio of tea/water/honey, it tastes a
lot like XXX Vitamin Water - which I am a fan of.
Glisten & Glow HK Girl Fast Drying & Super Shiny Clear Top Coat: I was sent this product to review, and a review shall be happening next week on it. Spoiler alert: I'm in love with it. This top coat now tops my list of faves, and right now it's on sale, so if you're thinking of picking some up sometime, now's a good time. Heh.
NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee and Apple Strudel: Creme Brulee is a pale neutral color, while Apple Strudel is a light peach. I love them both and they smell delightful.
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Sparkle Nude, Yogurt, and Milk: These are three of the six jumbo pencils I got in that pack for Valentine's Day. I'm certain I'll love the other three as well, I just haven't had a chance to use them yet. I LOVE how Yogurt looks on my waterline.
NYX Pump it Up Lip Plumper in Kim: Kim is a peachy nude that I didn't originally think I'd like. Once upon a time, nearly 10 years ago, I tried a lip plumper at Victoria's Secret. The formula essentially burned my lips and left my lips and skin around it raw and red for days. Since then, I've been terrified to try a lip plumper again. This was lovely though. It doesn't seem to plump up my lips much, but I like the tingly, minty sensation it leaves. Plus, I'm a huge fan of peachy colors.
Rimmel London Lash Accelerator Endless: This mascara. THIS mascara. Let me tell you. When I pick up mascaras, I usually try and find a combo length/thickness mascara. So this one - which only adds length - would never have been on my list of mascaras to try. So I'm very,
very glad that I won this, because I love it! I love how casual my lashes look with just the length added on and the brush is so great at getting each lash. The brush is also very thin and easy to maneuver around to catch everything. This mascara also claims to actually enhance your lashes, as in, your lashes will get visibly longer in 30 days. I have not been using this for a full thirty days, but I will definitely be trying it out!!
Vaseline Lip Therapy in Rosy Lips: If you've been a reader of my blog for a while, you might remember my rant about the Vaseline company and how they were
incredibly unhelpful when I simply asked if they were coming out with Rosy Lips any time soon. Early February of this year, I finally found it. And I was so excited! I'll be writing more about it at a later date, and possibly having a small giveaway to share the love too.
Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette: Eeeee! Naked palettes for me!! I'd be insane if the Naked Palettes weren't on my faves list. I've always preferred matte shadows to shimmery ones (although Naked 1 and 3 are changing my mind) so this Naked Basics palette is almost perfect for me. Honestly, there's one color - Foxy - which doesn't really do much on my skin tone, but the others are great!
Urban Decay Naked Palette: I haven't tried all the colors in this palette, but I've tried enough to fall in love. I love Gunmetal as a bottom lash liner. Gives a great smokey look. :)
So there you have it! My February Faves!
In other news, this past Sunday was my 2 year anniversary with my boyfriend. He asked if there was anything in particular I was wanting to do, and I did.
So we went out and got The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, some Pop Secret Movie Theater Butter Popcorn, and some Oke Doke cheesy popcorn, then went back home to watch movies and eat popcorn. :)
I am still in the process of major cleaning, which is annoying, but has to be done. I'll be participating in BEDA (Blog Every Day in April) this year, so hopefully I'll be able to catch up on all the reviews I'd planned on doing then. Next week I'll be posting two reviews - one for the HK Girl Top Coat, and one for Majestical Jewelry.
I had been debating a giveaway for Majestical Jewelry, but have decided against it. Only two people entered my 1,500 likes giveaway, and just one person entered my Cook'n giveaway. While I'm happy that I at least got a winner from each of them, the lack of entries has made me somewhat sad. So I'll be keeping the jewelry for myself. I suppose that'll make for some pictures of me actually
wearing the jewelry, rather than just pics of the jewelry still in the box. Heh.
That's all for now, toodles!
