Howdy howdy. Howdy howdy howdy. Howdy. Okay, now that I've got that out of my system... how's you? Me? I'm... ehhhhhhh... this marks day two of the six day cleanse. I am... feeling hungry. lol. SO LET'S NOT THINK ABOUT IT PEOPLE! STOP REMINDING ME OF FOOD!
Um... yeah... probably a short post today.
So Saturday, for Mingo's birthday celebration, we all went to Texas Road House, or something like that, which is a restaurant, and Saddle Up, which is a club/bar.
I had a slice of apple pie, which I should have taken a picture of, but the only pic I have to share from the restaurant is this:
A jackalope. Ha. HA. It was so fluffy I had to take a picture of it.
And then there's pics of us once we arrived at the club.
Yayness. It was fun. I'm not much of a dancer, but I sorta swayed and/or bobbed my head to various beats.
day 19 - a song from your favorite album
Favorite... album? Like, album album? Er... uh... well gosh... okay... um.... we'll say... um... no... okay... wait... oh wtf. I don't pay attention to albums anymore. Albums... albums... huh. HUH. We'll just... pick an album I like... and...
Backstreet Boys - How Did I Fall In Love With You
Okay so they're now touring with New Kids on the Block... and they're going to be in Chicago next month... and we're totally going to see them!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!! I'm so incredibly beyond excited. I've never seen them in concert, though I've always wanted to. So excited. OMG.
Oh look! I'm back to being able to see my icon pictures. Geeze, what? Do they just go to sleep at night so I can't see my pictures anymore? o.O
Okay, so my buddeh talked about how she did the Master Cleanse. And that intrigued me, because I'd heard about it before, but always forgot to actually look it up. So I finally got around to checking it out, and it looks doable. Why do the cleanse? Here, I took this from that site:
The fact is people today lead toxic lifestyles. The food we eat is loaded with chemicals, the air we breathe is polluted, and our daily lives are riddled with so much stress, and anxiety that our bodies just deal with it.
We are slowly poisoning ourselves. Our colon, liver, kidneys, gall bladder, and every other organ in our body are at a breaking point. Failing to adopt a healthier lifestyle could rob you of years off your life. It could also mean living a life of chronic pain, fatigue, obesity, and a plethora of other negative health problems that tend to manifest in people who lead a toxic lifestyle.
The Master Cleanse can help remove the built up waste in your body. This diet is growing in popularity due to its many beneficial effects that coincide with its core principles of detoxification. It's even been used by celebrities like Beyonce Knowles and Robin Quivers of the Howard Stern show. Not only does this diet promote health and a healthy body, but using it will help your body cleanse itself without drugs or surgery.
And so I start. Today. The site says 3-10 days. I believe I will be trying 6. Because that's all the maple syrup I have enough for. LOL.
Basically, you drink only the "lemonade" concoction and water for the days you decide to do it. (you can also add decaffeinated tea to it for flavor... which i might do at some point...) And only that. No eating other foods. The recipe is this:
60 ounces of filtered water
12 Tablespoons of organic grade B maple syrup
12 Tablespoons of organic lemon juice
1/2 Teaspoon cayenne pepper powder
That's a daily serving. So yep. Here I go.
My original plan was to lock myself in my room for the entire time, but it looks as though I might have to come back out later today. lol. Fail already. Sorta. I'd forgotten to refrigerate my lemons, so not all of them lasted the weekend. Which means I only had enough lemons to make two days of lemonade. So tonight (when I have a car available to me) I shall be wandering out to buy more. Then, THEN, I shall lock meself in my room for two days. Ha.
The first thing I did was pack all the snacks and foods and whatnots that I keep in my room all up in a box.
They shall stay there until I is done with this thinger.
Then I concocted the lemonade. I used a gallon of water, which ends up being 8 oz more than the needed 120 for two days, but eh. Hopefully that extra 4 oz a day won't be too much of a problem. For easier measurement, I transferred the lemonade from the big container I mixed it in, to 8 empty water bottles.
I shall only be drinking four of these a day. I didn't want to pack the soda and energy drinks from my fridge, because I want them to stay cold dammit. So I sorta just shoved them aside and to the back and stuff. Hopefully I'll have the willpower to stay away from them.
So there we have it. I'm going to do this. Wish me luck. Ha. When I told my buddy that I was going to go on the cleanse, she suggested I sleep a lot during it. So I shall probably do that. lol.
I was tagged again! By my loverly BEDA buddy joyfulgirl42. This time it's for Google verb tag. You just type your name and a verb in to the google search and document one of what gets found. Should be interesting! And Mingo, I know you haven't BLOGGED IN A WHILE WOMAN, but I tag you, for whenever you DO start blogging again. :)
Jackie likes the smell of cut grass (Not... no, not really) Jackie has the following list of assets (hmm... to click or not to click... eh, not) Jackie wants a black eye (um... apparently this is a song title) Jackie talks kennedy assassination (well sure) Jackie doesn't know crap (HEY! I... wait no, that's true. Eh) Jackie looks like a self-satisfied, smug, eminence gris in that shot. (wtf is an eminence gris? Yeah, I wondered that too.) Jackie bought a house 6 km from town. (I er.. think that's a part of a homework equation.) Jackie ran into @AvrilLavigne this morning on Sunrise - check out these pics! http://ow.ly/i/9Kyy(ha... a random tweet) Jackie hopes for family to support her dreams. (hmmm... well.. alright, yeah sure I guess.) Jackie runs over a bunch of exotic cars in an industrial truck? (now that... sounds AWESOME! It could be my DREAM!!! Sure hope my family supports my dream...) Jackie hates you (Short and to the point. I suppose it all depends on who "you" is though...) Jackie eatsbrains (yummo)
Ha. That was fun!
day 18 - a song that you wish you heard on the radio
Ministry of Magic - Gryffindor Rally Cry
I love this song. It's so happy. I would squeal with glee if I heard this on the radio. lol.
Sunday, April 17, 2011
And AGAIN I can't see the pictures. Seriously? SERIOUSLY? Picasa web albums are really sucking it up during the month of April yo. Ridiculous.
Okay, so honestly, I'm really, really tired. So this will be a tiny post. I have pictures of the last two days to share, but now is not the time. I'm also starting something tomorrow, and will post about that too. But yeah. Sorry BEDA, I just don't feel like staying up for you.
day 17 - a song that you hear often on the radio
Bruno Mars - Grenade
This song is incredibly overplayed, though it is beginning to die down. Thank goodness.
Oh! Hey there folks. How's.... how's it going? Well? Alright, cool.
So guess what? I found my old digital camera today. Ooooh yeah. Awesomeness. Okay, seriously, it's not that huge a deal. But basically, my current camera, as much as I absolutely love it, can get kinda bothersome sometimes. Like, it's not all that big, but big enough to draw attention, and it can get heavy if I have it around my neck for too long. When I lug it around, it's not uncommon for folks to ask if I'm a professional photographer and/or taking a photography class. lol. That doesn't bother me. I chose the camera, I still love it. But occasionally, I wish I had a smaller camera. So that I could still take pictures without having to carry the burden. I accept that the camera might not be as good as my normal one. That being said, any camera would be better than the crap ass photos my phone takes.
So I was wishing and wishing for a loooong time that I could have an extra camera, and then today it came to me - I do have an extra camera. It was one I earned on a street team of a company that is no longer, (imstar*) and it was my first digital camera. Gosh I loved that thing. But then I got frustrated at the lack of zoomage. And so I moved on. As a result I've lost the cord thinger that hooks the camera up to the 'puter. Which was going to be a problem, since I'd never gotten an SD card for it - I always just used internal memory. So I grab the SD card from my norm cam, and it don't work. Then I grab my extra SD card... still nothing.
I got sad, and wandered online to see what might be the problem. It was the kind of SD card. Apparently, since this camera is so old, it won't recognize some newer SD cards, which happen to be what both of mine are. Dammit. So I wandered over to my sister-to-be and asked if she happened to have any extra SD cards lying around. She did! And wouldn't you know it, it was an older SD card! Smaller, which is why she no longer uses it, but it works! Huzzah!!
Here! Lemme show you piccies.
This is my old camera. Taken with my normal camera... I should name them! OMG. Gotta think of names now. Hehe hahahaha hoo. Anyhoo, this pic was taken without a flash, and also taken rather quickly, so it doesn't look as good as it could. But eh, it's just a picture of a camera. lol.
And this is my normal camera taken via my old one. It's been almost six years since I've used this camera. Seriously. And so it's... weird, trying to get used to it again. In fact, I don't remember anything about it. Not a thing. So it's not "getting used to it again" so much as it's "getting used to an unfamiliar camera". But hey, it works! And it only took me a couple tries to get the damn pictures to save on to the SD card! Then again... I'm not entirely sure how I managed to do it that last time... but eh, trial and error. lol.
And here are both my cameras taken by my phone. Seriously, I think I might try setting up a shot some time in a future beda blog, and take the same pic with all three cameras. Should be interesting.
So last night, I went to a My Chemical Romance Concert. And it was fun. Lots of fun. Once you get numb to the dizzying heat of hundreds of people all crowded close to one another, the loud screaming of those hundreds of fans, the bands' volume jacked up to be heard over the noise so loud it causes your hearing to go muffled and you feel the vibrations ebb through your very soul, the fact that you're only 5'2 and there are 6' folks standing right in your view, and the uneasy feeling of the wood floor bouncing caused by hundreds of fans jumping up and down in unison... seriously though, it was really a lot of fun. I'm not being sarcastic either. I mean, yes, all that I previously mentioned was quite uncomfortable/annoying/frustrating, the overall experience was quite enjoyable.
I don't normally listen to MCR. I only know maybe a handful of songs by them - (all of which I like) and that spans the ten years they've been around. But the buds I went with played their music in the car on the way, and I realized I actually like their sound. So I very much enjoyed listening to the concert, and seeing them on stage and what not.
The concert was at the Aragon ballroom, which was absolutely lovely. Seriously, I wish I remembered to take pictures when the lights came on a little at the end of the night.
This is a view of the merch on sale, it took forEVER for my buds to get the shirts and whatnots they wanted - the vendor dude was actually quite rude and ignored them for ages.
This is a shot of Neon Trees. For the majority of their set, I couldn't much see them, because of all the tall people in front of me. Mingo says the lead singer has some killer dance moves though. I don't mind so much that I missed them though, I imagine being blocked by tall people at a concert is part of the experience for a short person. lol.
And here are some of my fave shots:
And this is how far we were from the stage.Which seems farther away than it seemed in RL.
There's mingo and me, after the show.
I have some video of the concert too, but dammit, I'm not too camera savvy, and was getting frustrated at my video mode. It wasn't zooming in the way I wanted it to! And I kept forgetting to check to see if I could somehow figure out what happened, (unlikely) so I'd hit record for another song, and get frustrated all over again. lol. I suppose in the end it doesn't matter, I'll enjoy the vids either way, but yeah. I did miraculously find out what the problem was, and was able to zoom in to my heart's content after that, but I only recorded two songs anyway. It gets... tiring, holding a camera that gets heavier the longer the night lasts. lol. And in order to get a good shot of anything, I have to hold it above my head, so eh.
Okay, I decided to share a few of them. Why not, right? Feel free to watch any, all, or none of them.
This one is a bit over a minute of Neon Trees. They were the act just before My Chemical Romance.
And this is My Chemical Romance, performing I'm Not Okay
And Teenagers
Helena
and lastly Cancer
I think I'm going to have to get some MCR songs for my ipod. lol.

Lady Gaga - Just Dance
I was in love with this song when it first came around. Now, not so much. Actually, same goes with Poker Face, and possibly others. *shrug*
You put in your twitter name and click "get your next tweet"... and happiness ensues. According to the site: "This page generates your future tweets based on the DNA of your existing messages."
