China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Review Pt. 1 [image heavy]

Hello!! Today is the first part of my China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze review! As I mentioned in a previous post, I got this entire collection from a giveaway hosted by The Nail Files, and sponsored by China Glaze.

I decided to break it down in to smaller parts rather than review the entire collection all at once. Break down will be four parts.

So we're going to start with these four polishes: "Put a Bow On It", "Be Merry, Be Bright", "Your Present Required", and "All Wrapped Up".

First is Your Present Required.

Your Present Required is a multicolor, multi-size glitter polish with a clear base. I think it looks really neat in the bottle, and has potential, but it was really difficult to try and fish out some of the larger pieces of glitter from the bottle. Still, the color combination is nice, and I wouldn't mind using this over a jewel-toned polish.

Next is Be Merry, Be Bright

Be Merry, Be Bright has medium and small sized hexagon glitters in purple and magenta. I like this glitter a lot. I think it might be a nice February polish. Application is much easier than Your Present Required. Dabbing made it even easier.

Put A Bow On It

Put A Bow On It is this fabulous purple-y boysenberry glitter. I'm usually not a fan of the color purple in general, so it surprised me when I put this on and instantly fell in love with it. It took a few coats to get it looking this fab, but worth it!

Last we have All Wrapped Up. The sun ran away by the time I finished polishing up my nails for this one, so I tried a pic with indoor lighting, then went and took pics outside with the cloudiness.

All Wrapped up is a midnight blue and royal purple glitter. I don't know if you can see, but the base polish isn't thick, it's actually very thin, so the texture of the glitter comes through. Just like Put A Bow On It. I love the texture of these glitters! It's funny, because almost a year ago, when I reviewed liquid sand, I wasn't too big a fan of the texture. It must have grown on me over the year, because now I'm loving it!!

Overall, these polishes are pretty great. Of the four, my least favorite is probably Your Present Required, because of the extra effort it takes to get a taste of all the pretty glitters. My most favorite is absolutely Put A Bow On It, which again, surprises me, because I don't like purple! Just shows how great the polish is I suppose! :)
